Planning Your Wedding at Beckendorff Farms: What to Know Before You Book

When you start planning a wedding at a venue like this one, you end up with a list of questions long before you ever ask about pricing. Here are straight answers to the ones we hear most, the same ones we walk through with couples on a tour.

How many people can we invite?

The barn holds up to 300 guests for a seated dinner, and tables and chairs for all 300 are included in your rental. If you're picturing something smaller and more intimate, our chapel seats 200, with room for another 30 guests standing in the mezzanine.

What's actually included?

Every wedding rental comes with a fairly long list of what's already taken care of, including the six hours of event time and a day-of coordinator to keep the schedule on track, so you're not managing vendors yourself in the middle of your own wedding. Here's what's built in:

  • Indoor and outdoor ceremony sites
  • A bridal suite
  • Indoor and outdoor bar
  • 72-inch round tables and hand-crafted farmhouse tables
  • Whiskey barrels and X-back wood chairs
  • White folding chairs for an outdoor ceremony
  • A day-of coordinator
  • Six hours of event time
  • An exclusive engagement or bridal photo session before your wedding day

Can we have an indoor or outdoor ceremony?

Both options are on the table. You can hold your ceremony outdoors, with the barn as your backdrop and white folding chairs set up for your guests, or move it indoors if you'd rather not risk the weather. Either way, the reception itself happens inside the barn, with room for up to 300 guests at a seated dinner.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes. You're welcome to supply your own alcohol, but it has to be served by a T.A.B.C.-licensed bartender through your caterer. If you or your wedding party want champagne or beer while you're getting ready, that's fine in the bridal and groom suites, but no liquor can be consumed anywhere on the property before the bar officially opens for the event.

What about a caterer?

We keep a Required Caterers list of vendors who are already vetted for insurance, food safety and service quality, and most couples book straight from that list. If you have a caterer in mind who isn't on it, we can usually work with them for a $1,000 fee, as long as they're insured, hold a health permit, complete a site visit and get approved by us ahead of time.

Do we need security?

Yes, and we book it for you so it's one less vendor for you to chase down. Every event needs two officers, or three if you're expecting more than 250 guests, and payment is $250 cash per officer.

What about a rehearsal?

Our coordinator walks your wedding party through the ceremony the morning of your wedding, and that's included at no extra cost. If you'd rather rehearse the night before instead, that's available for an additional $500, subject to availability on your date.

Can we take engagement or bridal photos here?

Yes, exclusively for couples getting married with us. Sessions are booked on weekdays through Paige at paige@beckendorfffarms.com.

Where do we park?

Parking is a few steps from the barn, so nobody's walking across a field in heels. If you'd rather have valet, it can be arranged through a third party on request.

What does early access cost?

If you want into the venue before your included access window starts, an hourly fee applies. Ask about the exact rate when you book, since it's easiest for us to quote once we know your date and the rest of your timeline.

What will it cost overall?

We don't publish a flat package price, because what a wedding here costs depends on your date, your guest count and what you add on. The best next step is to schedule a tour so we can walk you through real pricing for your actual wedding, not a generic one. Ask about our downloadable wedding brochure while you're at it, it covers most of this in one place, and it's a useful thing to have in hand before your first planning conversation.
